CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE RESEARCH PROJECT

1) After extensive discussions and convincing, our group collectively agreed to focus our research topic on Hydrogen Fuel Cell Engines. This decision was influenced by some initial research I had conducted on the subject, which I shared with the group, ultimately swaying our choice in favor of exploring this innovative technology.

2) I conducted secondary research on what types of available vehicles use Hydrogen as a fuel source or those utilize a Hydrogen fuel cell engine. This vast amount of knowledge was gained by using the means of Google mainly, as well as other websites. Mostly through Wikipedia, I was able to understand what Hydrogen vehicles are already available on the market, and from there on I went to check on the various manufacturer websites to check out their models and take down how they can perform.

3) From then on, I was tasked to research what other alternative fuel sources are available and beneficial to the environment. Using various data websites as well as Google, I gained knowledge on the different fuel sources that are already being used other than harmful fuels such as petroleum, but also the benefits as well as the disadvantages of them each.

4) Defined the true meaning of the Hydrogen Fuel Stack/ Hydrogen Fuel Cell Engine, as well as how a normal hydrogen fuel cell engine works regularly. (As boats that utilize hydrogen fuel cell engines are not currently on the market, we have to gain our research through hydrogen cars).

5) Give suggestions as to which other model ships can utilize a similar engine to our proposal in the future. As the aim of the leaders of the company is to strive towards 'zero emissions' for their boats, we believe that this is the right step towards that path.
